KC Shock Secures Home Field and Supporter Scarf
Thursday, April 18 - The Kansas City Shock is thrilled to officially announce their home field location for the 2013 WPSL season at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Conveniently located a mere five miles from Sporting Park, the KCKCC home field will be fresh off of a $4 million renovation this Spring. Aside from the college's home teams, the Shock will be the first team to use the new pitch.
"KCK was a hidden jewel," said Shock CEO Shawn Daugherty. "It felt as if no one knew about this field. What I love the most is that we're both new and building. In a strange way the field and our program compliment one another; we are works in progress aiming towards an incredible future. It is an honor to work with a soccer program as dedicated to growing the game as the coaching staff at KCKCC. The future appears bright for all parties."
The field is soccer-specific and contains no extra markings for other sports and comes equipped with locker rooms and built-to-expand bleacher seating.
The Kansas City Kansas Community College staff has been an incredibly gracious group, Daugherty said.
Pairing with the release of home field location, the Shock is also releasing their supporter scarves for the 2013 season.
Each scarf comes in at $25 and exhibits the Shock's orange and navy blue colors proudly. To pre-order a scarf, head over to the "Shock Wear" tab of the website where the item is located.
The Shock is also still in the market for a season jersey sponsor. Any interested parties may email email@example.com for more information. Sponsorship packets may be found on the "Sponsorship Packages" page.
